During a sleepover, four 9-year-old girls obsessed with space embark on a secret mission in their cardboard rocket. When Dad returns home, what will become of their mission? ‘Space Girls’ is a fun adventure film that celebrates the power of imagination, the importance of STEM education and girl power.


Director’s Bio
Carys Watford is a Writer/Director/Producer of comedy and drama live-action short films. She is passionate about making comedic, female-led films packed with personality and heart. Her films have competed internationally at festivals including the Oscar-qualifying St. Louis Int’l Film Festival, the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in LA, and the BAFTA-qualifying London Short Film Festival.

Carys’ last short film, ‘Theatreland’, was shot in a beautiful theatre in the heart of London’s West End. It had its World Premiere at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film & VR Festival in February 2017 – and went on to screen in competition at the Oscar-qualifying Athens Int’l Film + Video Festival (Ohio) & the BAFTA-qualifying Underwire Festival.
