Director’s Bio

Joshua Erkman lives and works in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Cinema-Television Production from the University of Southern California in 2001.

In 2016, he was selected as one of ten filmmaker fellows invited to participate in AMC Network’s inaugural Shudder Labs with the feature length version of his short film, IN THE NIGHT. The IN THE NIGHT short film is currently available on the Shudder streaming service. Other films include THE SOUND OF BLUE, GREEN, AND RED (2016) that screened at: The Overlook Film Festival, Nitehawk Shorts Film Festival, Knoxville Horror Film Festival, Nightmares Film Festival in Ohio (where it received nominations for Best Actress and Best Horror Short), and the Brooklyn Horror Festival where it received the Special Jury Award. It is currently licensed by distributor Gunpowder and Sky.
