At a routine greyhound rest stop, May encounters Annie, a teenage vagabond that offers to read her palm. Through their newly-found friendship and a hungry stomach, May’s struggle with her duality as an Asian American is reignited, leaving her at a crossroads with her cultural identity.
Director’s Bio
Jessica Le was born in West Valley City, Utah and moved to San Francisco to attend California College of the Arts, where she studied for one year before transferring to San Francisco State University. She graduated with a BA in Cinema in Spring of 2019 and has worked on a number of student shorts as a writer, cinematographer, editor, and director as well as freelanced for non-student productions as 2nd assistant camera and production assistant. Her completed thesis film titled, “No Forks in the Road” is currently beginning its festival run.
